MOUNTAIN VIEW – Two Mountain View Middle School students were selected to participate in the American Choral Directors Association National Children’s Honors Choir.

Jonathon Maxfield and Aubrey Jorgensen are both eighth graders in MVMS’ seventh and eighth grade choir and auditioned for the choir.

They will go to Dallas, Tex., in March to participate in the choir. Prior to attending, they will have to learn several choral selections. The choir will perform at the four day choral festival. Before the performance, Maxfield and Jorgensen will rehearse with approximately 300 students from across the nation.

The choir will present a gala concert with three other honor’s choirs.

Over 4,000 students auditioned for four different honors choirs (children’s, junior high, high women, and high school mixed).

At MVMS, they are under the direction of MVMS music instructor, Lori Limoges.
