LYMAN – The Uinta County School District #6 Board of Trustees, in the matter of the employment of District Superintendant Kent Stokes, after a lengthy executive session, with board members Todd Rollins and Bart Lyman abstaining, and the three remaining board members voting in the affirmative at their meeting on March 20:

1 - That Kent Stokes, the current District Superintendant’s contract, with the district will not be terminated.

2 - That Kent Stokes will be taken off of administrative leave effective immediately.

3 - That the investigation of Kent Stokes has been completed.

There are six other issues included in the board's release.

A stunned silence followed. Not understanding exactly what action had been taken, This reporter requested a copy of the action. Three of the nine issuers that were covered are listed above. See the March 22 issue of the Pioneer for the complete list.
