Bridger Valley ‘Freezin for a Reason’

LYMAN – Lowering the thermometer and raising funds is what all the excitement was about March 22 at the annual Jackalope Jump at the Lyman High School parking lot.

Funds were raised for the Bridger Valley Special Olympics athletes as community members braved the freezing cold water to help raise awareness.

This year’s Jackalope Jump raised an estimated $18,000 for the Special Olympic athletes who will compete in April and May.

During the March 22 Jackalope Jump, prizes were available for fundraisers, as well as best dressed jumpers, largest team, most money raised by an athlete, most money raised by an individual and most money raised by a team.

Clay Cantlin set a $500 goal and ended up raising the most funds with $2,105 as a Special Olympic athlete and team Clay Cantlin raised the most funds as a group.

Cody Brown raised the most funds as an individual with $1,739.
