LYMAN — Tegeler and Associates insurance company and Farm Bureau insurance company met with the Lyman town council last week and offered some advice on the town’s insurance.
Following the discussing, the council agreed to review the insurance policy and make a decision at the next meeting.
During the discussion, Bridger Mackey, Farm Bureau, said since Lyman does have a maintenance department and are able to make their own repairs the cost of insurance can be lowered.
The two insurance company reps discussed Lyman’s situation and agreed the best policy for Lyman would be the policy from Tegeler and Associates.
“I would recommend that you take that policy (Tegelers),” said Mackey. “The two of us (Schultz and Mackey) just want the best for the town and want to be able to save the town money.”
The lease between the town and the Public Health building was approved. The lease will be for month-to-month basis until July 1. At that time, the two entities will look at the agreement and work on making a long-term agreement.
