MOUNTAIN VIEW – Mountain View added two losses to their record last weekend, as they battled but could not overcome in their conference match ups against Lander and Jackson.

First, the Buffs were pitted against Jackson, where they lost 24-46.

“We got off to a very slow start,” said the Buffs head coach, Tony Micheli. “We did not shoot the ball well at all, and we gave up too many second chance points. We dug ourselves into a big hole and couldn’t climb out of it.”

The next day, the Buffs competed in a closer game, but once again were unable to come out on top, losing 36-42 to Lander. “We played better,” Micheli said. “But, we still struggled to score. We got into some foul trouble that hurt us and again gave up too many offensive rebounds. The team continues to work hard, especially defensively. I hope they are not getting discouraged. It’s still a long season and we are working hard every day to make sure we are improving.”
