LYMAN – In Pinedale last weekend, the Lyman Eagles crashed through their conference opponents, demolishing the Wranglers in a 68-34 blowout.

The Eagles were led by Kyle Stokes as he showed off his senior leadership skills and nearly earned himself a triple-double. In addition to leading the Eagles in scoring, with 23 points, Stokes was also able to rip down the most rebounds with 11, and add nine assists, one away from closing out a triple double.

Cisco Taylor, another Eagle senior, put up another big score for his team, tacking up 18. Skyler Walker and Tyson Gillies also helped the Eagles to achieve the huge victory, scoring an additional eight points apiece.

“Because of the rivalry,” Stokes said about this weekend’s match up against Mountain View, “this is not a game that really requires a lot of extra motivation. We are really motivated.”

“Anything can happen with a rivalry,” said the Eagles’ head coach, Don Toomer, “I think the team that comes out and makes the least amount of mistakes will have the advantage.”
