MOUNTAIN VIEW – The Lady Eagles added another win to their unscathed conference record when they faced the Lady Buffalos in Mountain View last weekend and pulled away with a 59-28 win.
The Eagles continue to reside at the top of the conference.
The Buffs were led in scoring by Mckell Hadlock, who accumulated 10 points. She was followed by Madison Vitt, who had nine points as well as 12 rebounds. Aubrey Newton also tacked up nine points for the Buffs.
“Lyman pressured us really well and played a great game,” Newton said. “We’ll continue to work on the things we need to, and we’re excited to see them again.”
“We turned the ball over too many times,” said the Buffs’ head coach, Dustin Rees. “And, we got terribly outrebounded. Outside of that, I think we did okay. I’m proud of (my team). They never quit. They played hard the entire game.”
The Eagle’s points were well distributed between the members of their team. Bailey Gross led the team in scoring with 11 points. She was followed closely by Rachelle Harris, who had 10. Tiffani Dennis added an additional eight points for the Eagles.
