Lyman takes top spots in Green River

LYMAN – The Lyman track team competed at the Green River track meet last week on April 19, competing in a sea of 18 schools.

Both the boys and girls efforts gave them a solid showing at the meet. The girls took sixth with 46 points, and the boys took eighth with 36.

Bobby Wingeleth’s efforts added to his team’s scores with a first place long jump of 21-11.00 and a first in the triple jump with a distance of 44-00.00. Wingeleth also ran the 200 meter dash and claimed sixth place with a time of 24.19, which was better than his seed time of 23.40.

Jon Harrison also made a good showing in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.58, putting him in ninth place. Harrison also took fifth, and added points to the boys team, in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.75.

The girls team had Ann Wingeleth leading the pack with firsts in the long jump at a distance of 17:09.00 and high jump with a height of 5-05.00. Ashley Ott also added points to the team’s score in this event with a jump of 4-07.00. She also turned in a solid performance in the long jump with a distance of 13-07.50

Payton Limoges took fourth place in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:51.24 to add points to the team score. She also performed well in the 200 meter dash.
