Bruce Jay Thompson, 65, died at his home in Evanston on Dec. 4, after battling an extended illness.
He was born to Don and Lilly Thompson on March 11, 1947 in Ogden, Utah. He married Susan Noble in March 2009.
Bruce was a true cowboy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating and riding ATV’s in Arizona during the winter. Bruce served his country honorably in the US Army and was a proud member of the VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; children, Jodi Thompson and Jace Thompson; step-children, Josh (Kandra) Noble and Brooke (Jason) Chadwick; and one grandchild, Dee Jay Clark. He is also survived by his brother Brent (Lark) Thompson.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Lilly Thompson.
A memorial service to honor his life will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, in Evanston at the Depot in Historic Downtown, 10th and Front St. at 2 p.m.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
