Lilleane Marie Hereford - “Neen” - 68, of Fort Bridger died Jan. 3.
Neen was born in Yakima, Wash., on Dec.7, 1944, to Edward and Marie Stewart (both deceased). The family moved to Moses Lake, Wash., when Neen was in the fifth grade, and she graduated Moses Lake High School in 1963. While in Washington, Neen met Joe Hereford, and the two were married in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on March 20, 1967. The couple moved to Wyoming in 1967 and lived in Riverton and Rock Springs, finally settling in the Bridger Valley in 1978.
Neen was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved watching her four children grow and traveled the state watching the kids play sports – a practice that continued when the grandchildren came along. Neen and Joe could always be found at a local Little League game, swim meet, basketball or football game cheering on one of their 12 grandchildren.
Also, Neen was a 44-year member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her faith brought her great happiness and many dear friends. She always enjoyed attending meetings and going out in service.
Neen brought light to the lives of all that knew her, and she will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Hereford.
Neen is survived by her husband, Joe Hereford of Fort Bridger; son, Kipp Hereford of Fort Bridger; son, Robb (Crystal) Hereford of Lyman; daughter, Michelle (Juan) Aragon of Evanston; daughter-in-law, Donna Covington of Mountain View; sister, Peggy (Ben) Clark of Goldendale, Wash. and Arizona City, Ariz.; brother, Larry (Pia) Stewart of Langely, Wash.; and grandchildren: Lexi, Kamrun, Kalvin, Kayman, Dalton, Austin “Birda,” Kaylae, Karlee, Haylee, Lyndee, Kendyl and Alix.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Evanston on Saturday, Jan. 12, at 11 a.m. Following the service, family and friends are invited to the Machine Shop in Evanston for refreshments.
