Our beloved, Cathy Cloward Hayes, returned to her Father in Heaven Sept. 3.
Born Feb. 27, 1961, to Jan Smith and Don Jack Cloward, Cathy was the fourth of five children. She lived in many places while growing up but remembered Mountain View the most as that was where she graduated in 1979.
Cathy graduated in 1999 from Weber State University. She taught at Ben Lomond High School for 14 years, and loved her students and said they made teaching worthwhile.
Cathy married Jeff Hayes, the love of her life on June 1, 2002.
Cathy loved the water and loved to travel to Yellowstone, Jackson Hole and Mexico, but especially to Hawaii.
Cathy overcame many challenges including a buffalo attack with spunk and perseverance.
She was escorted to heaven by her Grandma Ada and her stillborn son Matthew.
Cathy is survived by her adoring husband, Jeff; five loving children, Ceptember (Paul) Smith, Charitie, Jared, Gabriel and McKay; her parents and four siblings. Many adoring “adopted” children called her “Mom.”
A celebration of Cathy’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Farr West Poplar Stake Center, 1745 N. 2300 W., Farr West, Utah. A visitation will be held prior to services from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
Arrangements entrusted to Myers Ogden Mortuary.
