OGDEN, Utah Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Milton Glenn Bluemel returned to our Heavenly Father on March 5.
He was born on Aug. 10, 1935, in Lyman to Henry Leroy and Rachel Christina Voss Bluemel. He grew up in the Bridger Valley.
Glenn, as he was known, worked as a lineman for the railroad, then worked for various power companies. He retired as a supervisor for Rocky Mountain Power.
He married Lois Overy on July 3, 1974, in Pocatello, Idaho. They were later sealed for time and for all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings, including Branch President. He was also a temple worker for many years in the Ogden, Utah Temple.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Lois; his children: Roy (Margaret) Bluemel, Bryan Bluemel, Wendy (David) Coon, Kyle (Dee) Bluemel, Cory Bluemel, Cynthia (Layne) Viereck, Derek (Danielle) Bluemel, Melissa (Ryan) Bendixsen, Glenna (Alex) McKinley and Selma Bates; his sister, Selma Stevens; 24 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Edel Spracher, and two baby sisters; brothers: Calvin Bluemel and Bryce Bluemel, daughter: Melanie Bluemel; son: Milton Glenn Bluemel, Jr.; and great-granddaughter, Rikki Viereck.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Utah Danita, Tammy, Lillie, Eva, Brittany, and Nicole, Aspen Ridge Home Care and Tender Care Hospice Debbie, Andrea, and Carilyn.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, at Pleasant View 2nd Ward, 250 W Elberta Dr., Pleasant View, Utah. There will be a viewing held at the church on today, March 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. and tomorrow prior to services from 10 to 10:40 a.m.
Internment will be in the Ben Lomond Cemetery.
