CRESWELL, Ore. Donna (Davis) Jochumson, 77, former resident of Mountain View, died March 3, in Creswell, Ore.
She was born Nov. 22, 1940, in Rock Springs, to Kenneth and Virginia (Megeath) Davis. She graduated from Mountain View High School in 1959.
In 1972, Donna married Michael Jochumson and they had one son, Bryan. Later, Donna and Mike divorced.
Donna worked in the health care industry as a CNA providing respite care. She also worked as a secretary and apartment manager during her younger years. She loved working as an Avon representative in the Bridger Valley for a time also. Her work took her to different places around the West such as Colorado, Arizona, Washington and Oregon. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Mountain View.
She loved going to speedboat races, doing some gambling and cheering on her favorite basketball teams mainly the Portland Trailblazers and on occasion the Phoenix Suns and the Utah Jazz. She quite often had a cat around to provide companionship and fun.
Her main focus and love was for her son Bryan and her grandchildren. She was very proud of all of them and tried to stay involved in their lives.
Donna is survived by her son, Bryan (Tammy) Jochumson; granddaughters: Faith and Hope Jochumson; great-granddaughter, Liza Stone; great-grandson, Carter Masterson; Bryans stepsons: Andrew Payne and Brandon Church. Louise Davis and Carol Davis of Montain View are surviving sisters-in-law to Donna. She also had many loving nieces and nephews locally.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: K. Wesley Davis, Ramsay Davis and Russell Davis; a sister, Phyllis Davis; and also Travis Church, stepson of Bryan (Tammy) Jochumson.
Memorial Services will be held on March 25, at 11 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Mountain View.
