Valley needs theater

Posted: Monday, Mar 18th, 2013

Dear Editor,

I think it is ridiculous that this Valley is going to shut down the Lyman movie theater.

There is nothing in this Valley for kids to do other than the swimming pool, and thatís about it.

Our parents wonder why the kids in the Valley are always getting in trouble.

Our movie theater is going to shut down due to the fact they have to upgrade to digital at an approximate cost of $100,000.

The kids are getting in trouble because they are at parties or disobeying their parents.

We donít have a rec-center and have to drive 30 miles to go to one. We can spend money on new stores that we donít necessarily need. We never have any dances for the community. They are only at the high school and only for the high school kids.

We need to step it up a few notches and have the towns of Mountain View and Lyman come together and support each otherís businesses.

What are we kids supposed to do when they shut down the movie theater? You honestly think we are not going to be causing any more trouble than we do now? We need fun things to keep us entertained.

Letís all help each other and see where it brings this community.

Meriah Branca
