Marvin Jackson Jan. 16, 1931 – July 18, 2010

Marvin Jackson, 79, died at his home on July 18.

He was born on Jan. 16, 1931 in Randolph, Utah, the son of Elmo and Isabel (Jones) Jackson. He spent several years working in the mining industry, working for Stauffer Chemical Co.

Jackson enjoyed leather craft, horses, ranching, needlepoint, and being a mechanic.

He is survived by his children: daughters, Debbie (Brent) Liechty, and Barbara Jensen, both of Evanston; Marva Yapias, of Provo, Utah; and Becky (Brian) Wilson, of Oregon. He is survived by 20 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Morgan and Elmo Jackson, both of Randolph, and four sisters, Karma Gilmore and Marjorie Gilmore, both of Evanston; Myrtle (Loren) Martin, of Provo, Utah; and Belva (Deloy) Richman, of Layton, Utah.

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents; one baby sister, Ada; and a daughter, Peggy Bailey.

Visitation will be held on July 23, from 6-8 p.m. at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston. Funeral services will be conducted on July 24, at 11 a.m. at the Evanston LDS Fourth Ward Building on Sage Street. Viewing will be held one hour prior to services at the church also on July 24. Interment will be held at the Evanston City Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
