MOUNTAIN VIEW Last weekend, Lyman and Mountain View hosted the annual Bridger Valley cross country meet and claimed several of the top positions.

The meet was held in Mountain View instead of Fort Bridger this year, starting in the MVHS parking lot and snaking through the park. The meet welcomed competitors from Evanston, Manilla and Rawlins. It included both high school and middle school competitors.

Valley runners claimed all four of the top positions in the girls and the boys events. Kaylor Dolezal, Mountain View, led his team to victory by claiming the top place in the meet. He was followed by his teammate, junior Hugh Henry. Jake Hicks, of Lyman, followed the Mountain View boys and clenched third. Cole Harris took fourth for the Buffs. Holden Bindl took a top spot for the Buffs as well. Charles Lallatin also took a top place for the Eagles.

The Lyman girls continued the same success they have seen all season long, claiming all four top spots in the Valley meet. They were led by sophomore Ann Wingeleth, who took the top spot with an unrivalled 21 minute run. Madeline Kunzler took second place, followed by Alli Menck in third and Makaylie Kunzler in fourth.

The girls event featured runners from Lyman and Evanston.
