Lyman football whips Bulldogs

**Don't miss the Lyman Eagles taking on Newcastle Friday, Nov. 2, at 1 p.m. at Eagles Stadium! The winner of the game will advance to the state title game in Laramie.**

The Lyman Eagles took on the Wheatland Bulldogs last weekend in their first playoff game of the season. The matchup was held on the Eagles’ home field, and the Eagles did not disappoint their fans, delivering a huge, 50-0 win against the Bulldogs. The Eagles remain undefeated throughout the season.

The Eagles dominated offensively, with a total of 336 yards to the Bulldogs’ 159. The Eagles earned 219 yards rushing and 117 passing. Bransen Bradshaw led the team in rushing, with an accumulated total of 154 yards on 16 rushes. He was followed by classmate Kyle Stokes, who had 56 yards on 4 carries. Bradshaw stepped up as quarterback for the Eagles and delivered 10 completions on 17 attempts for a total of 117 yards. Cisco Taylor made himself the target of choice in the game, snatching 6 completions for 71 yards.

Bobby Wingeleth led the team on the defensive side of the ball, accumulating three interceptions, four assisted tackles, and four unassisted tackles for a total of 27 points. He was followed by Bradshaw, who had 17 points including five assisted tackles, three unassisted tackles, and two tackles for a loss. Stokes had 16 defensive points, including racking up nine assisted tackles. Cisco Taylor, Dalton Schofield, and Stuart Martin each added 11 more defensive points for the Eagles.

Lyman’s next matchup will be against the Newcastle Dogies this weekend in Lyman.
