Lupher earned national award

Posted: Monday, Nov 26th, 2012

LYMAN –Lyman FFA’s Stormy Lupher was recognized at the 85th National FFA convention in Indianapolis, Ind., as she was awarded the American FFA Degree.

The convention was held October 24-27.

The American FFA Degree is awarded to FFA members who have demonstrated the highest level of commitment to FFA and made significant accomplishments in their Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs).

Approximately 3,500 American FFA Degrees are handed out each year at the National FFA Convention. That number represents less than half of one percent of all FFA members, making it one of the organization’s highest honors.

Lupher, the daughter of Wes and Becky Lupher and Chris Aimone, earned her American Degree by having an outstanding SAE in beef cattle production. Lupher currently is attending the University of Wyoming, majoring in speech pathology.
