LYMAN –Lyman’s Lady Eagles competed in Riverton last weekend and brought home two wins.
Last weekend’s tournament play was the first contests of the 2012/2013 season for the Lady Eagles. They faced Worland on Friday, whom they beat 39-31. On Saturday, the Lady Eagles first faced Douglas and were beaten 24-51. They faced Riverton later the same day and pulled away with another win, 45-31.
The Eagles were led by senior Tiffani Dennis throughout the weekend. Dennis led the team in scoring in two of the three games, with 15 against Riverton and 14 against Worland. Taylor Limoges also gave a notable performance in the matchup against Riverton, scoring 12 points. Junior Bailey Hallam also proved to be an important aspect to the Eagles’ game with her contributions in the tournament.
“I was pleased with our depth in the tournament,” said Lady Eagle head coach, Kevin Lueck, “It enabled us to put pressure on the other team for 32 minutes.”
