LYMAN – Elton Allen “Bob” Lester, 85, died Dec. 6, at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born on June 6, 1927, in Hilliard, to James Henry and Esther (Hutchinson) Lester. He was one of 18 children.

He married Patsy Myrnalice Smith on Sept. 29, 1944, in Evanston.

Bob loved spending time with his family, fishing and being outdoors in the mountains. He loved to operate tractors and do dirt work. He enjoyed hunting sage chickens and working on machinery.

He is survived by his five daugthters, Sharon (Paul) Danks, Green River; Patricia (Larry) Garetto, Lyman; Judy (Ray) Balser, Mountain View; Alice (Von) Chamberlain, Lyman; Jackie (Roger) Wetzel, Kemmerer; two Sons, Robert (Ginger) Lester, Lyman; Wy. B. LaVelle (Billie) Lester, Fory Bridger; brother, Verl (Joyce) Lester, Hilliard; and two sisters, Lavina Pierce, Evanston; and June Pierce, Ogden, Utah.

Bob is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; granddaughter, Jeannie Marie Krupp; his parents and 14 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were today, Monday, Dec. 10, at noon at the American Legion Hall in Fort Bridger. A viewing was held Monday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Legion Hall in Fort Bridger. Interment was in the Lyman City Cemetery.
