BRIDGER VALLEY – Mountain View High School was in “lock-down” Dec. 20.
School officials chose to lock schools down after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newton, Conn., Dec. 14, left 20 students dead.
On the last day of school before students were released for Christmas break, the school went in to lock down after their Christmas programs, according to Uinta County Sheriff’s investigator Jamie Schmidt. Schmidt denied rumors that a bomb threat had been e-mailed to school officials at Mountain View High School.
Police officers were present at Bridger Valley schools in both Mountain View and Lyman school districts on Dec. 20.
