MOUNTAIN VIEW – Wrestling kicked off Mountain View’s top sports moments of the year on Feb. 25, as Drake Menck claimed second in the 170 weight class, and Bo Aimone claimed second in the 220 class for the Buffs.

A month later on March 3, Mountain View’s girls created another special moment for the year, as they took fourth place at the 3A West Regional Basketball Tournament and earned their place at the state tournament.

On May 12, the Lady Buffs on the track team started closing off the season with a fourth place finish at the regional track meet as a team.

Later in May, the Buffs continued to impress in track events at state, where senior Kyler Flake brought home a third place finish in the 400 meter dash. The Mountain View team also had a womens 4x100 meter relay team –consisting of Rachel Hofer, Kambree Dellinger, McKinna Salsbury and Cailen Gibbs – which took second.

On Oct. 20, another Mountain View athlete stepped up to impress. Kaylor Dolezal, a senior in his first year of cross country, claimed sixth place at state over runners from all throughout the state of Wyoming.

The final accomplishment of the year for the Buffs was made by the football team, who, for the first time in several years, were able to make it into the playoffs in October to finish off a winning season.
