URIE – Bridger Valley Electric announced last Friday that crews will be trimming trees in Bridger Valley for the next several weeks.
As much as possible, landowners will be notified as the crews work through the area. Line foreman Randy Mair said a 10 foot clearance will be maintained on all primary lines, and they will also be taking any vegetation that might be touching secondary lines going into homes and other buildings.
The primary reason for the tree trimming is to maintain reliability and safety on those lines. Anytime primary lines have interference from tree branches it causes reclosers to work allowing the line to clear. By preventing this issue with tree trimming, users will experience fewer outages and blinks and won’t have to keep resetting their digital clocks. Safety is of great importance and keeping lines clear will minimize chances of downed lines and other hazards that might occur.
Any concerns may be addressed to Randy Mair at 307-786-2816. Also, if anyone is interested in using the wood chips generated by the tree trimming, please contact Mair.
