MVHS hosts “Basketball for the Brave"

MOUNTAIN VIEW – A a night of “Basketball for the Brave” on Feb. 1 at 5:30 p.m. will be held at the Mountain View High School gymnasium.

Local veterans and service personnel are invited to enjoy a night of basketball and fun and to be honored for their service.

The project will coincide with the Mountain View/Pinedale basketball game. Plans are for a short program between the two varsity games to recognize attending veterans and service personnel. In addition, during half time of the boy’s varsity game, these people will be asked to stand and be recognized.

Fans are asked to bring an item to donate such as nuts and hard candy, canned cheese dip, crackers, mosquito repellant wipes, lip balm, deodorant and jerky. Do not bring chocolate candy.

The collected items to the Committee to Support Uinta County Service Personnel to be shipped in “We Care” packages to service personnel.
