MOUNTAIN VIEW ¬– The Mountain View Buffs were unable to overcome the challenge by the Star Valley Braves and took a, 32-47 loss.

Austin Houskeeper was a vital attribute to the Buffs’ game as he led the team in scoring last Friday on the Buffs home court. In addition to racking up points, Houskeeper also added seven rebounds to his team’s effort.

“We came out with a lot of energy,” Houskeeper said. “In the second half, shots just weren’t falling. Overall, we played good team basketball.”

“We played pretty well. Star Valley is a pretty good team,” said Buffs’ head coach Tony Micheli. “We worked hard. They wore us out. It was good to play the best team in the state and find out what we need to work on.”

The Buffs were led in rebounding by senior Hayden Meeks. Meeks was able to grab nine rebounds over the course of the game.

“We knew Star Valley would be solid,” Meeks said. “We came out strong and did a lot of good things throughout the game. We never quit.”
