I am a strong believer in the Second Amendment and I am completely opposed to gun control.
I was born around guns, I have taken two years of hunter safety; my grandfather showed me how to properly clean and store guns and ammunition. I am also the 2010 Wyoming State Shot Gun Shooting Champion. That competition was based off of shooting skills that I learned throughout my life, and I believe that prior knowledge of guns and practice gave me the advantage that I needed to win. I believe that people like me who are responsible with guns shouldnít be subjected to limitations and restrictions.
I think that the gun laws are not only unnecessary, but are just plain stupid and a waste of government time and money. The only thing they will accomplish is that it will make every citizen an easy target for a criminal. The gun laws wonít work because criminals donít obey the law. If the gun laws get passed, criminals will always find ways to get a gun, and people like me and my family, will not be able to protect ourselves or our homes.
People in government positions are more concentrated on controlling the general population instead of the individuals who are not mentally stable enough to own a gun. In my opinion, the people who are for gun control are lazy for just taking guns from the entire population instead of tracking down people that are not mentally stable or who have a history of violence or gun abuse. They think that if we take the guns from the general population then crime rates will go down. Well, in my opinion, it will only go up.
In my opinion, the people in government are saying that guns kill people and not the person who is holding the gun. The message that Iím getting from that is that a person with a knife will just walk up and stab someone, that a person with a lighter is an arsonist and a person that is amazing with computers is a hacker. I think you will agree with me when I say that inanimate objects donít commit crimes.
I donít care what other people say, guns donít kill people! People with bad intentions do.
I am doing my part to make to protect what the Second Amendment can do for people and to help others see the good in guns and the protection that they provide.
