No one hurt and no damages...

By VIRGINIA GIORGIS

Pioneer Editor

MOUNTAIN VIEW – A soft spot and a frontend loader lifting some dirt Monday afternoon at the building site of the new Mountain View K-8 building resulted in the loader rolling over Monday afternoon, July 1.

The Pioneer received these pictures just prior to 2 p.m. Immediate calls to the school district office and district rep Mike Nicholes didn’t turn up any information. However, the Pioneer was also referred to Clint Bradshaw, project supervisor for Hughes Construction, the general contractor for the building.

After further investigation of the issue, Bradshaw said Tuesday morning the front-end loader was one being used by High Desert Construction out of Rock Springs. The company was screening topsoil that will be used at the site. The loader was on a large pile of dirt and ended up rolling over. Bradshaw said he filled out an incident report as was required. He also said no one was hurt and there was no damage to the equipment; “the glass wasn’t even broken.”
