WHEATLAND - Going into week one, the Lyman Eagles took on the Wheatland Bulldogs in last Friday’s non-league match. On the Bulldogs home field, Wheatland scored a close 32-28 victory over the Lyman Eagles.

“This was a tough loss. The kids played hard, but we had a few missed opportunities and we need to be more consistent,” said head coach Dale Anderson.

Lyman put 14 points on the board in the second quarter, six in the third and eight in the fourth quarter but came in four points shy of a win over Wheatland.

“We battled back a few times, and the kids played hard,” said Anderson.

During Friday’s game, senior Landen Bradshaw contributed 80-yards for the Eagles while Brandon Jaggi had 53 receiving yards and 11 defensive points.

Defensively, senior Ryan Martin had 21 points and junior Drew Rollins had 13 points.
