Hats off to Wyomingites. They have the market almost cornered with the ‘Wyoming Western accent’ according to Cupid.com

The entity says Wyoming’s western accent was voted third most attractive in North

America, only surpassed by the first place southern dialect and second place New York accent.

According to Cupid.com, that gives Wyomingites a step up on the competition when they decide it is time to find their perfect matches. Physical attraction, common interests and a shared sense of humor are all regularly cited as important qualities in the perfect mate, but what about an attractive accent?

With a continent as large and diverse as North America, it’s not surprising that

accents are many and varied. From the lilting twang of the South, to the short and

snappy speech of New Yorkers, the way North Americans speak is as much a melting

pot of different styles and influences as the food and music.

This information was gathered during a recent survey of over 2,000 men and women by dating site Cupid.com. They say they finally have the answer.
