CHEYENNE — State Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill will hold three town hall meetings in Uinta County next week.
Two of the meetings are slated to discuss Common Core, its assessments and standards, the state budget, Senate File 104 and other issues affecting education in Wyoming.
The first meeting will be in Bridger Valley on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 7 p.m. at the Lyman Town Hall.
The second meeting will be held at the Uinta County Library in Evanston on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 6:30 p.m.
Hill won the position of state superintendent by a wide majority, racking up 66 percent of the vote.
The third town hall meeting will also be in Evanston on Thursday, Jan. 23. Hill, newly announced Republican candidate for governor, will also hold a meet and greet at the Legal Tender restaurant. Lunch, at a cost of $12 per person, will be held at noon. The question and answer period is slated for 1 p.m.
The Evanston Chamber of Commerce hosts the forum. An RSVP is required for lunch as seating is limited.
