ROBERTSON — Edna Johnson Wall of Robertson was born Feb. 1, 1914 ,making her 100 years of age tomorrow.

When asked what she contributes to her reaching such a steep age, Wall said she stays out of other people’s business and minds her own.

“The coming of cars and air planes,” Wall said about a seeing the world change. “I knelt at the window when I was about 11 just to watch the one car. It was a doctor here that had one.”

Wall’s childhood memories include riding horses and being outside.

“I remember so many places where I would hang by my knees and let my hair dawdle in the water,” Wall said. “I have been riding all my life. I remember one of my horses, Red Cloud.”

Over the years Wall began to write. Wall said she would come in from a day of work and write a poem or a story. Wall recently had all of her poems and stories compiled into a hard bound book.

“I never wrote anything that wasn’t true,” Wall said. “It is all the truth but good truth.”

Wall’s advice for living a good life includes being happy and taking life easy.

“She is never demanding,” Frieda Wall said. “Just happy.”
