MOUNTAIN VIEW — Guitarist Spencer Bohren, originally from Wyoming and more recently New Orleans, will perform in concert at the Mountain View High School auditorium Thursday, Feb. 13.
He will present his Down the Dirt Road Blues, an award-winning history of American music, which he has presented to concert audiences all across America and Europe.
Vonda Phillip's guitar class will be selling tickets to the concert as a fundraiser for their organization.
Tickets are also available at Benidict's Market, Lyman Town Hall and Peak. The price of tickets are $15 for adults $15 and $5 for students $5. Children pre-K are free.
Bohren’s music resonates with the ambiance of the rivers, roads, and bayous of the American South, according to Carolee Bowen of the Young Musicians. Bohren has a marvelous gift for sharing his great love for America’s wealth of traditional folk, blues, gospel and country music with audiences of all ages.
Also on Feb. 13, Spencer will present an in-class workshop for guitar students at Mountain View High School.
Bohren is presented in partnership with Mountain View High School, and is supported in part by a grant from the Wyoming Arts Council, through funding from the Wyoming State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.
