URIE — The seats for District 1 and District 4 on the board of Bridger Valley Electric’s (BVEA) are up for election and will be announced at the co-ops annual meeting.
Gary Nix currently serves on the board for District 1– Mountain View, Robertson, Uintalands and Manorlands. The seat for District 4 – McKinnon, Manila and Dutch John – is currently filled by Jon Wilde.
If anyone is interested in running for these seats on the board of directors, please contact the BVEA office. Printing deadlines make it preferable for petitions to be submitted by the end of February to have a profile published in the April WREN Magazine. Absolute deadline is Wednesday, March 12 at 5 p.m. Contact Naomi Stone at 307-786-2810 for a petition form and to have your questions answered.
To be qualified as a director include, your primary residence must be in the district you wish to represent, and you must be a member of BVEA in good standing. Some of the other requirements are: you can’t be a relative of any current directors or employees of BVEA, you should believe in the cooperative business model and you should be of high integrity and have the respect of the community.
