SANDY, Utah — Sasto Foianini, 90, died April 29, at his home in Sandy, Utah.
Sasto was born in Superior, on Dec. 19, 1923, to Guido and Yonne Foianini.
Sasto lived most all of his life in Wyoming, growing up in the Bridger Valley. He married Mabel Covolo on Nov. 15, 1944, and they enjoyed 67 years together before she died.
Sasto began hauling milk for Cream O Weber in 1948. He retired from driving in 1972 but continued working at the dairy in Rock Springs for the next 35 years. Sasto finally retired at the age of 85.
The Foianini’s made their home in Rock Springs for over 60 years. They moved to a retirement community in Sandy, Utah, in the fall of 2009.
Sasto is survived by his daughter: Yonne (James) Benson (James); sons: Larry (Mary), Foianini and Ray (Paula) Foianini; brothers: Gino Foianini and Primo Foianini; sister, Eve Rising: six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 4, followed by a Rosary at St. Helens Catholic Church in Fort Bridger. A funeral Mass will be held Monday, May 5, at 11 a.m. at the church.
Graveside services will follow at the Fort Bridger Cemetery.
