LYMAN — The queen contest for the Lyman Pioneer Days will be held July 21 at 6 p.m. at the Lyman rodeo arena.

Contestants will be judged on personality, their answer to an impromptu question, horsemanship, (stop, walk, trot, lope, slow and fast figure 8 with lead changes, dismount and mount).

The queen contest is open to girls 15-18 years old. The junior queen contest is for girls 10-14 years old. The princess contest is for girls 7-9 years old. Girls must have been these ages on Jan. 1. There is a $10 entry fee.

One attendant will be selected with each queen.

The selected royalty will be required to attend and ride at the rodeos on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and the parade Saturday morning.

The event will not for any points for Jr. Rodeo All-around cowgirl.
