BRIDGER VALLEY — The Bridger Valley Chamber of Commerce will hold a Candidate’s Forum on Aug. 5, at 6 p.m. in the Lyman Town Hall, according to Thayne Peterson.
“It is hoped that this program will inform the voters of Bridger Valley of the candidates and their platforms in order to promote a more knowledgeable electorate,” Peterson said.
Candidates who wish to participate in the forum are to call Peterson at 786-2529 by Aug. 1.
If candidates can’t attend they are urged to send written statements and/or representatives as proxies, Peterson said.
Candidate comments are expected to start at 6:30 p.m. to allow shift workers the opportunity to attend.
The forum will include candidates for the following offices:
Wyoming Senate Districts 15 and 19; Uinta County: commissioner, attorney, Sheriff’s Office and Clerk of District Court; and those seeking office on the Mountain View Town Council.
According to Peterson, there are 27 candidates vying for these offices. Each candidate will be limited to two minutes for comments.
