EVANSTON — If residents are interested in voting in the Aug. 19, Primary Election, they can pre-register by Monday, Aug. 4, according to Lana Wilcox, county clerk.
Wilcox said citizens must be registered before they can vote in Wyoming. Pre-election day voter registration for the Primary Election closes at 5 p.m. on Aug. 4. Voters can register at the County Clerk’s office at 225 9th Street in Evanston, Evanston City Hall at 1200 Main, Mountain View Town Hall at 405 Hwy 414 or the Lyman Town Hall at 100 East Sage.
“However, if you miss the Aug. 4 deadline, Wyoming law allows individuals to register and vote at the polls on Election Day. You can also make changes to your address or political party affiliation,” Wilcox said.
Wilcox explained residents will need to bring their Wyoming driver’s license, if one has been issued to you. If not, they need to bring another form of government issued I.D. when registering or making changes to their voter record.
If anyone is unsure of their voter registration status, Wilcox said, they can contact her office at 783-0306 or 782-7432, ext. 306.
