ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Uinta County School District 4 will be receiving sealed bids for the installation of a new hardwood floor in the main gym at Mountain View High School. Bids are due to Uinta County School District 4, 129 W Second Street, Mountain View, Wyoming 82939, by 12:00 PM Mountain Standard Time on February 2, 2022. It is highly encourage that any interested bidder contact Maintenance Supervisor, Bob Alvis, at 307-780-8904 or alvisb@uinta4.com to schedule a walk-through of the project to fully understand the requirements. ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The Owner will accept sealed proposals, subject to the conditions contained in the General Conditions, Special Provisions and Specifications until February 4, 2022; at 10 a.m., at Uinta County School District No.4 Central Office, 129 West Second Street, Mountain View, Wyoming 82939 and then publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals will be received for the work as set forth in the bid package, the project generally being described as follows:

This project will consist of replacing the existing running track at Mountain View High School and replacing it with a new synthetic track.  This project will be bid in schedules and bidders may bid any or all schedules. Some schedules are to be considered alternates. The Schedules shall consist of:

  1. Preliminary Site work consisting of removing the old asphalt track, misc. demolition, preparing the subgrade for asphalt placement, and installing concrete curbing and other concrete features.
  2. Site reclamation and landscaping, consisting of relocation of sprinkler heads, relocating sprinkler pipe, placing edging around the track including topsoil placement.
  3. Asphalt placement for track and misc. areas, including placement of road base prior to pavement.
  4. Installing synthetic surfacing and striping the track.
  5. Concrete track with surfacing, to include installing post tension concrete, synthetic surfacing, and striping.

The project consists of all labor, material, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete work at the following two project locations:

UINTA MEADOWS ELEMENTARY (UME) SCHOOL DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS

The location consists of demolition of; concrete curb, gutter, sidewalk, asphalt, retaining wall (complete), chain link fence, and other misc. items. New construction includes 2,016 SY asphalt pavement, 933 SY sidewalk, misc. concrete, 135 LF curb & gutter, 45 LF chain link fence, 2 catch basins, ±150 LF 6” Drainpipe, 2 gravel drain sumps, drainage channel with rock rip rap, other misc. work, and material testing.

DISTRICT BUS BARN PAVING

The location consists of the complete demolition and replacement of 3,683 S.Y. of the existing asphalt pavement, pavement base course, and new pavement markings. The new Standard Pavement Section shall be 4-inch-thick plant mix asphalt pavement over 6-inch-thick Grade W Base Course over Stabilization Fabric. 

Each Bidder will be required to submit, with their bid, a certified check, or Bid Bond made payable without condition to the Uinta County School District No. 1 in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the Bidder’s maximum Bid Price as a guarantee that such Bidder will enter into a contract within five (5) days after the date of the OWNER’S Notice of Award.

Subject to Wyoming Statute 16-6-105, preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, agricultural products, equipment, machinery, and provisions produced, manufactured, or grown in Wyoming, or supplied by a resident of the state, quality being equal to articles offered by the competitors outside of the state. If a bidder is claiming resident contractor status bidder shall submit proof of resident contractor status per Wyoming Statute 16-6-102 with bid.

Uinta County School District No. 1 reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any part of any bid, to waive any formality in any bid, as its best interest may appear.
