Uinta County Fire Crews responded to a wind/tree blowing over fire on County Road 219 last Friday about 6-6:30 p.m. The big wind/micro burst type of activity which swept through the Valley blew over a tree which broke the electrical line and it could be seen dancing in the dry grass below and the grass catching fire. It was reported the tree went up in fire fast and the area filled with smoke. The road was blocked so with no access to getting the camera, taking the long way around to Urie and Fackrell Lane and then north on 219, the County Deputy said the “party was over” by the time the area could be accessed for a photo. The fire burned a small area due to the expedient work of the Fire Department. It did destroy a cable and box for Union Telephone (which can be seen in the photo on the right side after being repaired) which had to be replaced Saturday. PIONEER PHOTO/Virginia Giorgis
