Uinta County household hazardous waste and pesticide collection

The annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Uinta County Landfill Bridger Valley, off Carter Highway 412 before Airport Road and at the Uinta County Landfill #2, 3132 County Road 108, Evanston.

The collection sites will accept motor oil, antifreeze, weed killers, insecticides, paints, household cleaners, solvents, fertilizers, batteries, and any other toxic products. E-waste (Computers, TVs, VCRs), refrigerators/freezers, and tires are accepted at the landfill for a FEE. Not accepting anything at the fairgrounds.

Also, Uinta Recycling will be collecting e-waste. Please, no explosives, infectious medical waste, large appliances or radioactive waste. This is for residential use, not commercial.

This service is free to the public. Funding and support for the project is provided by Uinta County, Uinta County Weed and Pest District, Uinta Recycling Inc., and C.E.R.T.
