EVANSTON — The Wyoming Department of Transportation reported a crash blocking the left lane on I-80 Eastbound near Evanston milepost 13 occurred Wednesday morning.

The crash resulted in the extrication and transport of 5 people to Evanston Regional Hospital with varying degrees of injuries.

It was later cleared during the day and the traffic was again flowing.

The closure alert was for I-80 between the Utah State Line and Rock Springs and was also relevant for US-189 between I-80 Exit 18 and Kemmerer.

The crash was reported at 11:28 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27.
