MOUNTAIN VIEW — Intrepid adventuring students from the Mountain View High School advanced PE and environmental science classes embarked on a cross country ski adventure in the Uinta Mountains, Tuesday, Jan. 31.

A total of 28 students from the different classes went with their teachers to explore the great Wyoming outdoors despite the recent onslaught of cold weather.

“We feel like this is an opportunity for our students to see what is practically in their back yard,” MVHS science teacher Susan Anderson says. “We discussed canceling the trip with this cold weather, but with these kids being so involved in school and activities, we reminded the students to bring an extra layer of clothes because we were going!”

memories while they are in school. “This is a trip these students will remember. It was a tad cold when we started, but I think what it does is get students away from their phones for even a little bit and also helps them develop their awareness of lifetime activities. We could tell that some of our students had never done this before, but they learned, improved, and had fun!”
