LANDER — LHS Eagle Jaxon Lallatin, senior, earned All Conference recognition following the South conference swim meet in Lander last weekend.

Lallatin has been a force on the Eagles swim team throughout his high school career. At the conference meet, Lallatin was second in the 50 Free with a time of 22.71, just a .65 off of the first place time by Dylan Huelskkamp of Lander. Lallatin also too third in the 100 Free.

The Eagles 200 Free relay team – Evan Bently, Tyden Hill, Gavin Sill and Lallatin – took second place in this heat.

Swimming is the first winter sport to reach the post season. The 3A North competed in Worland. Next week will feature ‘Last Chance’ qualifying meets, and the state championships are in Gillette on Feb. 16-18.

The teams competing in included host team Lander, Evanston, Green River, Kemmerer, Lander, Lyman, Rawlins and Sublette County.

Lander won 8 of the 12 events at the meet. Dylan Huelskamp captured the 50 & 100 freestyle races. The Tigers swept all 3 relays.

Lander inished in first place with 386 points followed by Green River with 255,. Lyman was fifth with 118 and Sublette County seventh with 87.
