PINEDALE — The LHS Eagle swim team hit the water at Pinedale for the South’s Conference meet last week, bringing the regular season to a close.
There was also a ‘Last Chance’ qualifying meet yesterday in Green River for swimmers to try to claim the time needed to swim at the state championship next week, Feb. 15-17, in Laramie.
The Eagles took fourth place at the Conference meet last week at the Pinedale Aquatics Center with 165 points.
Lander took first as a team with a big 17-point margin scoring 303 points over second place finisher Evanston with 286 points. Green River was third with198 points, Rawlins and Kemmerer tied for fifth with 113 points and Sublette sixth with 98 points.
LHS swimmers who placed in the top five places follow.
200 Medley relay: 3. LHS - Evan Bentley, Mason Aimone, Spencer Cole, Shane Hooten- 1:51.64;
50 Free: 3. Mason Aimone, 23.56;
100 Fly: 3. Evan Bentley, 1:01.46;
100 Back: 3. Evan Bentley, 1:00.34;

200 Free relay: 4. LHS - Brix Hooten, Aimne, Stone Hooten, Trey Buckner – 1:41.15
400 Free relay: 4. HS – Trey Buckner, Odin Eyre, Porter Swensen, Evan Bentley – 3:46.90.
