MVHS track and field hot on the numbers and places at meets

MOUNTAIN VIEW — The MVHS track and field team on stride for personal records as they move into the final weeks of the season.

They will compete today at the Pinedale meet and will hit the track and field tomorrow at the huge Davis Invitational at Kaysville, Utah.

Mountain View competed at the Green River Invite last week on Friday and then headed to Utah for the 2023 Morgan Trojan Invitational. Mountain View was one of three Wyoming teams at the meet. The others were Lyman and Green River.

Morgan High School claimed first place in both divisions. At this meet, the MVHS’ sprint medley relay team took first pace with a time of 3:52.00. Others who placed in the top five in their events included Wyatt Jensen, third, in the triple jump 39-9.75. He was followed by teammate Hand Allred who scored a distance of 39-2.

At the Morgan Trojan Invitational last Saturday, Mountain View was fourth out of the 15 teams at the end of 33 events. The Lady Buffs were fourth in the girls division In the boys division, the Buffalos too third, followed by Green River in fifth place.

Mountain View's Jaylee Antonino won the 100 and 300 hurdles plus the high jump with 5-00.00. And, Mountain View's Carson Eardley won the 400 meters with a 52.87 and Tayden Bell won the 800 meters with 1:59.69.
