MVHS XC runners competed at prestigious Nike meet

MOUNTAIN VIEW — Ten of the MVHS cross country athletes were invited to the Nike Cross Country Post Season Northwest Regional meet last weekend and, “…our athletes represented our school well,” head coach Isaac Kiefer said Sunday.
The meet was held Nov. 10-11, at Boise, Idaho. As for MVHS athletes, Kiefer added, many athletes walked away with personal bests and accolades.
Ellie Stoddard ran a 21:49 notching the 8th fastest 5K time in MVHS school history trailed by Clara Romig who ran a 21:59 helping her run the 9th fastest time in school history. They finished 106th and 112th respectively.
The boys also finished with a barrage of PR's including top 200 finishes in a field of 2,000 competitors:

“We also got a chance to meet Olympian Elise Cranny which was a cool opportunity. The boys got a picture with her,” Kiefer said. “This was a great opportunity to end the cross country season.”
