Operation Christmas Child, a national and global organization consisting of dedicated coordinators and volunteers, is gearing up for another busy holiday season. The program — which fills and sends men’s 10.5 sized shoe boxes — is dedicated to gifting the basic needs of children ages 2-14 living in poverty-stricken and war-torn locations. The project pairs Samaritan’s Purse partners with local churches to collect and compile the items to prepare for shipment. It is estimated that 10 million boxes are delivered annually. Southwest Wyoming counties contribute roughly 2,700 of those.
