Six returning Valley football players, elite by their numbers

BRIDGER VALLEY — Although Valley varsity sports teams are focused on the camp season, other eyes are looking forward to what may be when the 2023-24 sports seasons begin.

One of these is the Wyoming football blog, which yearly examines the returning football players and the number they during last year’s season. He analyzes and selects whom he thinks is the top player of each number who will be returning to the high school gridiron in the fall. He say se analyzes each player and finds sit tough to select the player for each number because many times more than one player has proved to be a top candidate for each number.

The blog also publishes a disclaimer saying he can’t guarantee returning players will wear their number from last year, or they have moved and won’t be part of the teams this year. But, in his estimation, he things they are the top players for their specific numbers they wore last year.

Seven football players from Uinta County were tapped as the top players wearing their specific number: three from Mountain View and Lyman and one from Evanston.

The Mountain View football players and their numbers were Jayce Schultz, 13; Tyler Mair, 68; and Coby Jones, 76. The Lyman players were Nate Brady, 32; Morgan Hatch, 50; and Max Gregory, Lyman. Brady Roberts, Evanston, was tapped as the best returning player wearing #26.
