BRIDGER VALLEY — Two regional tumbling and trampoline and gymnastics meets were held recently, and Victoria Aimone and Ashley Martin were among the participants by qualifying for the Regional events.

Tumbling and Trampoline

The Region 1 and 2 tumbling and trampoline (TnT) regional championships were held at the Westgate Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev.; on May 11-13. Region 1 includes: Wyoming, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Utah and Colorado. These states sent their best tumblers and trampolinsts to go head-to-head in competition to earn a slot to move on to national competition. With numerous athletes competing at various levels and age ranges, Aimone and Martin did well enough to take podium honors at the meet, according to Diana Martin, parent volunteer.

Aimone had the opportunity to stand on the podium twice and had placed fifth in the tumbling event, sixth in the trampoline event and 29th in the Double-Mini event. Aimone also qualified for Nationals in the Trampoline event.

Martin placed 9th in the Trampoline event, 15th in the Double-Mini event and 23rd in the tumbling event. Martin also qualified for Nationals in the Double-Mini event. She had previously qualified in both the trampoline and tumbling events.
