GILLETTE (WNE) — Two horses under treatment in Campbell County tested positive for West Nile virus this week, said Dr. Marshall Kohr at Animal Medical Center.
Kohr said the horses were observed as being “wobbly on their feet.” A third horse is still being evaluated and tested for the virus.
One of the horses died because of the virus, but Kohr said that he hopes the other two will slowly continue to improve.
The three horse are unrelated and are from different parts of the county.
